Motorcycle & Automotive Batteries

Massimo Batteries are warranted against any manufacturing defects only arising during warranty period. The warranty is limited to all defects arising from the use of faulty material or poor workmanship during manufacture and developing under proper use. The warranty commences from the date of purchase to the original purchaser, subject to the conditions mentioned herein after.

1. Warranty Period Comprises of FREE REPLACEMENT and PRO-RATA. On every Massimo automotive and two-wheeler battery specifies the total number of months covered by the free replacement period and the Pro-Rata period for batteries fitted in private cars, multi-utility vehicles, two-wheelers and gensets.

a. On all batteries warranty is applicable from the date of sale to the original purchaser.

b. In condition of manufacturing defect replacement process based on date mention on original warranty card & Invoice and not from the date of replacement given (in case repeat failure).

c. If any battery purchased on pro-rata warranty settlement discount, a fresh warranty is applicable from the date of purchase/pro-rata settlement.

  1. In the event of any complaint, the battery must be returned untampered & complete to the Company’s Empowered Dealer or Depot in India along with the Warranty card, Invoice. Delivery of the replaced/rectified/discounted battery will be F.O.R. to the same point. The freight toward battery transportation is liability of customer.

  2. The battery test report to be filled up by the empowered Dealer at the time of claim receipt from customer.A original copy of Battery test report, Copy of old warranty card after mentioning new battery details, Copy of invoice and original warranty card of replaced battery should be handover to company depot. If any Tempering, Overwriting on QR code or date mention on invoice or warranty card will invalidate the warranty claim.

  1. The Service Record in the Warranty Booklet must be filled in regularly by an authorised dealer of the Company as proof of specified maintenance. Without the record, your claim if any, is liable to be held invalid.

  2. Massimo batteries are warranted against all defects arising solely from the use of faulty material or poor workmanship. Consequential liabilities will not be entertained.

  3. The all right to determine whether a battery needs repair, rectification, free replacement or pro-rata settlement rests with the Company only.

  4. Any battery declare faulty by the company and the battery is replaced free or under Pro- Rata settlement, the defective battery being replaced becomes the property of the company and no scrap rebate will be given forth.

  5. All liabilities under this Warranty shall null & Void:

a. The battery has been used in an application that it was not designed for and/or marketed to support/Company’s Application Chart.

b. If battery used in non-vehicular application.

c. Found to have additives, dopes or anything other than that else other than battery grade de-mineralized water added to the electrolyte.

d. Damaged due to fitment of additional accessories in vehicle other than the original fitment

e. Out of Warranty Period. Tempering found on warranty card / Invoice / QR code of battery

f. Battery found damage / burst / burn.

g. Battery found bulged due to overcharging.

h. Any Defects / Damages to the Battery caused by accidents, fire, natural calamities like earthquake, flood, etc which is beyond the control of human being, faulty electrical systems, non-maintenance, incorrect charging filling or improper handling service of the Battery by unauthorised Dealers/ electricians, willful abuse, destruction by fire, collision or theft.

i. Damage to the Battery due to contamination of electrolyte.

j. Breakage of container and cover or breakage/deformation of terminal due to mechanical shock like hammering.

k. Batteries are operated in discharged condition for long periods.

  1. In case of any particular battery model being phased out, the Company reserves the right to provide another model of the same capacity suited to the vehicle, as settlement of Warranty.

  2. The charging system & electrical circuit of the vehicle/genset shall be checked by the Company’s authorised personnel or dealer before finalising settlement of any Warranty Claim. Recharging of battery shall be billed as extra.

  3. Warranty Adjudication and settlement of claim will take a couple of days as the battery has to be tested for the reported failure.

  4. Any octroi duty or local tax which becomes leviable on the battery under repair or replacement shall be borne by the customer.

  1. Customers are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these conditions at the time of purchase.

  2. As per technical parameters Charging current is 12% of battery AH capacity with a terminal voltage of 14.0 V ± 0.1V for 12 Hour then any test will be done on the battery.

  3. All Dispute are subject to jurisdiction of civil court at Hyderabad, Telangana.
